Berichte über Menschenrechtsverletzungen und katastrophale Lebensbedingungen in den Flüchtlingscamps, informellen Siedlungen und Städten in der Türkei häufen sich. Orçun Ulusoy erklärt das türkische Asylsystem und berichtet über die rechtliche und soziale Situation von Geflüchteten vor Ort.

Turkey has developed into the most important transit country for refugees on their way to Europe during the last years. The refugees however are increasingly turned into a plaything in the negotiations between Turkey and the EU. Millions are stuck in Turkey for an unforeseeable future. At the same time there are more and more reports on human rights violations and disastrous living conditions in the refugee camps and informal settlements as well as in cities all over Turkey. Orçun Ulusoy is going to report on the social and legal situation of refugees in Turkey after a short introduction on the history of the Turkish asylum system. He will talk about the effects of the EU-Turkey Joint Action Plan as well as the political measures of Erdogan since the coup attempt.
