Book premiere of "Together: A Manifesto Against the Heartless World" (“Wille und Würde)” by Ece Temelkuran

Donnerstag, 2. Juni 2022
ANMELDUNG ERFORDERLICH!

The multi-award-winning author Ece Temelkuran looks at our present: helplessness and despair, lack of dignity wherever you look. Put an end to it, she demands, and asks: What to do? “Together: A Manifesto Against the Heartless World” is her answer, a ten-step guide to action, full of optimism and hope.

Our world is on a slippery slope. Societies suffer from striking injustices. Forest fires and floods provide the latest evidence of the devastating climate catastrophe. The pandemic shows how precarious economies are, and the chaotic withdrawal of troops from Afghanistan relentlessly exposes how irresponsibly people are treated. Those in power are struggling for answers, and often they themselves are the problem.

Where to put our despair? With “Together: A Manifesto Against the Heartless World”, Ece Temelkuran presents a clear new narrative, not for an idealised future, but for the present – a ten-step call for action. The task now is to rediscover our dignity. To do this, we must act decisively, draw strength from fear and gain confidence. For a world in which humanity comes first.
