Riss 2 will have its kick-off with a summoning of the spirits, shape-shifting throughout the three acts.

Low tones pacing through long left empty spaces, sounds of tail hair on metal, feedbacking strings soundling like stone stroking stone and a hum from a throat are to stir up a crusted motionlessness after the winter.

Magnolia
(Elena Victoria Pastor)is a performer who channels raw emotion, abstract ideas, and a powerful discharge of energy primarily through her voice.
As a key member of the band Maschin Kaput, her practice extends to duo configurations and solitary presentations. She generates sound from amplified objects - such as the musical saw- crafting dense sonic atmospheres designed to be experienced corporeally, in situ. To witness her is to stand at the threshold where the human form dissolves into pure vibration.

Moonlight + Guest
(Jeffrey Grunthaner) is a guitarist, poet and art critic from New York City, now living in Berlin. His guitar playing forms swirling grooves that drift and branch like currents of the subconcious.

Churchlickers
(Iris on keys, Eddinger on the guitar and Dominik on the drums) is a band from Wilhelmsburgin Hamburg who create a raw but subtle instrumental storytelling of a slowly proceeding and energizing interplay. They are going to present new material which is celebrated with a tape splitrelease via mörtelsound and rds rec hh.

Die Riss-Konzertreihe möchte die atmosphärischen Gegebenheiten der Kirche nutzen und ein besonderes Umfeld schaffen, um experimentelle und immersive Musik gemeinsam zu erleben. Musikalisch konzentrieren wir uns auf betörende und sich langsam entfaltende akustische und elektronische Klänge und wir bespielen den ganzen Raum. Es gibt eine Bar mit dem Üblichen, mit Snacks und einem Special-Drink!
Bitte warm anziehen, denn die Kirche wird nicht geheizt.
