To delve into the vocal improvisations and compositions of the Anahita project is to enter a realm of altered consciousness. Anahita, she-shaman, sorceress of sound, conjures a new universe in each of her sonant sculptures. She’ll approach a particular theme, weaving layers of meaning and emotion into an ever transforming nebula of art twining its way towards the listener, extending wisps of revelation that embrace the spirit. The feeling is post modern, music of an era far into the future, or to a place of deepest introspection. Anahita explores motifs of yearning, freedom and constriction, vulnerability, spiritual rebirth, and more. The project is a journey that will enrich each listener in different ways, showing the commonality of our respective inner feelings, sometimes unspoken. You are invited to listen.
