Mike Novak grew up near the New York music culture and was a Washington D.C.-based
musician before moving to Hamburg in January 2022. He composed and recorded several
albums while performing at venues as a solo artist, as well as in various ensembles. Christine Hopp, a classically trained violin and piano player from Germany, has performed with Mike in the USA since 2018.
They are currently performing in Hamburg under the name HoppNova and Christine’s
contribution of unique melodic riffs and background vocals help shape their unique sound. With rhythms and energy that will pull you in, their performance will showcase original compositions and a large repertoire that embraces Blues and Rock ‘n’ Roll, with undertones of Reggae and Bluegrass.
