After years of touring in former project Audrey, Emelie Molin and Victoria Skoglund decided to start a new project, Mire Kay. Carrying forward the swoon of Emelie’s cello and the spark of Victoria’s guitar, Mire Kay is a musical snapshot of the Swedish landscape; haunting and shimmering, echoing off of snow and spruce trees. Becoming a duo created more room for creative exploration, abandoning the saccharine of their Swedish peers in lieu of minor chords and reverb-drenched strings and vocals.
