Water, Waves & Words – Public Opening Event

Freitag, 19. Juni 2015
The International School of Hamburg (ISH) proudly invites you to a celebratory opening event taking place in its foyer. The event is open to the public. Registration is not necessary.

“Water, Waves & Words”, that`s the topic under which artist Claire Pastoors and ISH’s Junior School students have worked hard to create a wonderful piece of art.

First, over 20 images and about 25 poems about Hamburg’s river Elbe were created. In a 6-week process, students and Ms Pastoors then drew those poems and images on a wall. The result is a very charming, colorful and detailed mural, which will lift the spirits of any passers-by.

The idea to involve young students in this creative art project originates from ISH teacher Ms Barreca and BRIDFAS (The British Decorative and Fine Arts Society of Hamburg e.V.).

The Opening on June 19 will feature speeches by Ms Pastoors and a representative of BRIDFAS, poems and songs performed by students as well as snacks and drinks. Don’t miss this enjoyable occasion!
