Konzert: William Nein (UK/D-Berlin)

Montag, 20. Februar 2012
Celebrated English songwriter William Nein is set to release his newest record "No Heart's A Wasteland" on January 21st. The album, recorded across Europe throughout 2011, is the artist's 6th release, and first for TUTL (Teitur, Eivør Pálsdóttir, ORKA). Hailing from London, Nein has garnered a cult following over the past several years after playing shows across Britain and Europe, as well as select gigs in the United States. Combining elements of folk, indie, and punk, with influences ranging from the Pixies to Fleetwood Mac, 'No Heart's A Wasteland' captures the colorful essence of youthful wonder while maintaining a matured interest in the uncertainty of days to come. Sensitive if not brash, heartbreaking if not hopeful, the album dances with a varying, captivating pace--from the burst of energy on album opener "I Like You Too," vibrant harmonies of "Isabel," and soft, soulful storytelling of "Join Us In San Francisco," 'No Heart's A Wasteland' avoids any threat of stagnancy.
